How did you get started with CrossFit? I first heard about CrossFit from my brother, George. He explained what a typical class looked like and, to be completely honest, at first I was too intimidated to try it out. I finally convinced one of my friends give it a try with me. I had never touched a barbell before in my life and after that first class with Ryan, I was hooked. Every workout is challenging in it’s own way and knowing that other people next to me are pushing their limits keeps me coming back each week.

What is your previous sport or exercise background? Growing up I played a little bit of everything – from soccer to horseback riding to figure skating. I spent most of my time playing volleyball in high school. After high school I did the typical treadmill and free weights at the gym but was looking for something more.

What is one fun fact about you? I’m a St Pete native and Coach George is my brother – not my husband.

Favorite WOD: Grace – anything quick and preferably with a barbell.
